On the other hand, CXCR5 was proven to be involved in the determination of the antitumor activity of CXCR5+CD8+ cytotoxic lymphocytes, which were shown to exhibit a more potent proliferative capacity, granzyme B production, as well as increased TNF-α and IFN-γ expression, thus causing cancer cells’ lysis of several solid tumor types, including colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer or thyroid cancer, more specifically, as compared to the CXCR5-CD8+ lymphocytes [36,37,38,39,40,41].
