Finally of note, in 2019, McMahon et al. demonstrated that specific subsets of snoRNAs are differentially regulated during the earliest cellular response to oncogenic RASG12V in mice, and that a loss of SNORA24 cooperates with RASG12V to promote the development of liver cancer closely resembling human steatohepatitic hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Here, SNORA24 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
