It is well documented that vitamin K provision is associated with a reduced production of proinflammatory cytokines, such as interleukin-6 (IL-6),tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), and interleukin-1 (IL-1) [54,55], which are among the most important cytokines activated during COVID-19, contributing to the cytokine storm in severe COVID-19 patients.
