The methylation of CYP2E1 DNA was not changed in PD patients treated with different L-DOPA dose ranges in vivo (Pearson correlation coefficient 0.019, p = 0.92) nor in pbms treated with l-DOPA in vitro (baseline 22 ± 10%; 100 μM: 24 ± 10%; 200 μM: 22 ± 9%; Figure 2F).
