These findings contrast a previous report that evaluated the prognostic significance of a panel of six biomarkers in completely resected stage I NSCLC, including: death-associated protein kinase promoter methylation; interleukin-10 protein expression; cyclooxygenase-2 messenger RNA expression; human telomerase reverse transcriptase catalytic subunit mRNA expression; retinoic acid receptor-beta mRNA expression; and K- patients. The gene discussed is RARB; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
