A differential expression pattern between liver and lung metastases was observed for the growth factor receptors IGF-1R (LuM 92.3% vs. LM 75.8%, p = 0.013) and EGF-R (LuM 68% vs. LM 41.5%, p = 0.004), showing a significantly higher fraction of positive cancer cells in the lung metastases, respectively. The gene discussed is EGFR; the disease is cancer.
