In the ANBL0032 study of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG), treatment with dinutuximab, a human/mouse chimeric anti-GD2 antibody produced in SP2/0 cells (ch14.18) [7], resulted in improved survival in patients with high-risk neuroblastoma when given in combination with granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) and intravenous (i.v.)interleukin-2 (IL-2) in alternating cycles [3]. The gene discussed is CSF2; the disease is neuroblastoma.
