GH1 and non-small cell lung carcinoma: Few studies have looked closely at the relationship between the ghrelin axis, GH, and IGF-1 in relation to tumor progression, but one such study involving a mouse model of non-small cell lung cancer found no difference in tumor growth between mice treated with ghrelin or anamorelin and untreated controls, despite slightly higher plasma IGF-1 and peak GH levels in the treated animals [81].
