Ultrasound examination at four weeks identified a statistically higher proportion of patients with pericardial effusion (18.5% vs. 32.3%, p-value = 0.018); a proportion of 59.4% patients with LV-GLS values outside normality (p-value = 0.036), 39.6% patients with LV-DD outside normal range (p-value = 0.041), and 33.3% patients with sPAP outside the normal range (p-value = 0.038). This evidence concerns the gene PDZK1IP1 and pericardial effusion.
