Autoantibodies are considered to be useful in patients with early arthritis, but almost 30% of patients positive for rheumatoid factor (RF), anticitrullinated peptide antibodies (ACPAs), or anti-carbamylated peptide antibodies (CARB) do not develop RA [8] and 40% of RA cases are seronegative [9].
