Administration of DENA/2-AAF markedly enhanced Ki67 protein expression, consistent with previous findings by Pižem et al. [88], Raghunandhakumar et al. [89], and Yassin et al. [77], demonstrating that Ki67 expression is elevated in HCC, while expression was reduced by isatin, suggesting that the effects on antioxidant capacity, inflammation, and detoxification ultimately serve to reduce carcinogenesis [90,91]. The gene discussed is MKI67; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
