ZEB1 and oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma: In oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), mesenchymal‐like cells, similar to basal‐like breast cancer cells, express low levels of E‐cadherin and high levels of vimentin and ZEB1/2, while other epithelial‐like cells, similar to luminal‐type breast cancer cells, expressed low levels of vimentin and ZEB1/2 and high levels of E‐cadherin [8, 9].
