ELOVL2 and neoplasm: Here, an increased ELOVL2 expression (score ≥ 8) was identified as a strong risk factor for tumor relapse in both uni- (HR: 2.42, 95%CI 1.18–4.94; p = 0.015) and multivariate (HR: 2.09, 95%CI 1.01–4.44; p = 0.046) analyses (Fig. 3).
