MAL2 (Mal, T Cell Differentiation Protein 2), a transmembrane protein of the MAL proteolipid family, is upregulated in a number of malignancies, such as breast, colorectal, pancreatic, or ovarian cancer, has been shown to correlate with invasion and worse prognosis [2, 4, 22, 36].
