As the essential transcriptional repressors, Zinc Finger E-Box Binding Homeobox 1 (ZEB1) and ZEB2 were cooperatively regulated by miR-200 family and miR-205, downregulation of miR-200 family and miR-205 in breast cancer cells lost their ability to repress the ZEB1 and ZEB2 expression, thus the expression of E-cadherin was downregulated, which promoted tumor metastasis [40]. This evidence concerns the gene ZEB2 and breast cancer.
