Both FGFR2 and GFRA1 were defined as critical actors of the self‐renewal of spermatogonial stem cells.[43, 44] Moreover, recent data highlighted the role of FGFR2 in inducing germ cell differentiation.[45] All these data support the fact that TGR5 may play a critical role in the maintenance of the SSC pool and in the mechanisms of cell fate and regeneration following injuries, as illustrated here using anti‐cancer therapies. This evidence concerns the gene GFRA1 and cancer.
