In aggregate, integrative genomic analysis identified five molecular signatures associated with mitochondrial complexes, potentially participating in the pathogenesis of AD through oxidative phosphorylation (COX5A, NDUFAB1, SDHB, UQCRC2, and UQCRFS1) and retrograde endocannabinoid signaling (NDUFAB1) pathways. The gene discussed is COX5A; the disease is Alzheimer disease.
