The epigenetic regulator EZH2, was recently shown to coordinate melanoma cell dedifferentiation (associated with a gain in ZEB1 and NGFR) (65) with downregulation of MHC class I (HLA-A/B/C) and antigen presentation machinery (i.e. antigen processing genes TAP1/2 and immunoproteasome subunits PSMB8/9) (90). The gene discussed is NGFR; the disease is melanoma.
