α-SMA is a common index of fibrosis in pancreatitis (27), immunofluorescence staining showed that the expression of α-SMA was significantly upregulated in CP mouse at 14d, 21d, and 28d post ligation and peaked at 21d, which was consistent with the trend of Masson and Sirius red staining (Figures 4A, C). Here, ACTA1 is linked to pancreatitis.
