PLAT and stroke disorder: Intravenous recombinant tissue plasminogen activator thrombolysis (National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke rt-PA Stroke Study Group, 1995) and mechanical arterial thrombectomy (Goyal et al., 2015; Campbell et al., 2015; Berkhemer et al., 2015) are currently the most efficient treatments for opening occluded blood vessels and restoring cerebral blood perfusion.
