DHYZ markedly reduced the levels of HIF1A (P < 0.01) and PDHK1 (P < 0.05), and depressed the phosphorylation of PDH (P < 0.01), consistent with the decrease of pyruvic acid level which means more pyruvic acid was utilized and entered the TCA cycle in 2× Tg-AD mice. Here, HIF1A is linked to Alzheimer disease.
