After additionally adjusting environmental metals exposure, we observed that NLRP3 rs4925650 [GA/AA vs. GG, OR (95% CI) = 1.89 (0.98–3.35)], NLRP3 rs1539019 [CA/AA vs. CC, OR (95% CI) = 1.52 (0.95–2.44)], and NLRP3 rs10157379 [CT/TT vs. CC, OR (95% CI) = 1.50 (0.94–2.41)] were associated with CKD though the confidence interval marginally included the null value. The gene discussed is NLRP3; the disease is chronic kidney disease.
