A previous study showed that a gradient boosting model with age, sex, and paired high-sensitivity cardiac troponin-I (hs-TnI) showed better performance in predicting myocardial infarction (AUROC of 0.963 [0.956–0.971] in early and late presentation) than the ESC 0/3 h pathway26.
