NFKB1 and infection: NF-kB activation has a key role in intestinal epithelial permeability (Dominguez et al., 2013; Yang et al., 2014) as well as in infections (Santoro et al., 2003), including RV (Rossen et al., 2004) and SARS-CoV-2 (Poeta et al., 2021) infections.
