AKT mutations rarely occur, but amplification and overexpression of AKT gene (the most common one is AKT1) can be found in various cancers, including gastric cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer, esophageal cancer, ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, thyroid cancer, and glioblastoma [67]. The gene discussed is AKT1; the disease is familial pancreatic carcinoma.
