IL6 and epilepsy: They found that inhibition of miR-27a-3p could inhibit hippocampal neuronal apoptosis, promote Bcl2 expression, and decrease Bax and Caspase 3 expression in the kainic acid-induced rat model of epilepsy, meanwhile effectively reducing the expression levels of interleukin-1β (IL-1β), IL-6, and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in hippocampal tissues.
