KRAS and squamous cell intraepithelial neoplasia: Our study investigated the relationship between ferroptosis and HPV-induced cervical diseases, and explored its underlying mechanism: (i) Ferroptosis occurs in LSIL with HR-HPV infection; (ii) persistent ferroptosis promotes SIL development and causes anti-ferroptotic effects; and (iii) lesions with anti-ferroptotic effects increase KRAS to promote tumorigenesis in SCC.
