The results of this study indicate that hydroxymethylation of promoter regions of DAPK1, RIZ1, P16INK4A, RASSF1A and p14ARFARF genes may be an important marker of CML disease progression, defines poor imatinib respondents and characterizes poor overall clinical outcome of CML patients on imatinib therapy. This evidence concerns the gene DAPK1 and chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
