The IL-10/IL-6 ratio tended to be higher in those with P. falciparum infections alone (2.0 [0.9–3.6]) and 2-fold (2.5 [1.8–4.7]) and 3-fold (3.6 [2.0–11.9]) higher in those with dual infections with malaria/filariae and malaria/intestinal protozoans, respectively. Here, IL6 is linked to malaria.
