However, little research has reported the relationship of cold exposure/exercise, obesity, and cardiovascular disease in Drosophila. In the present study, we explored the effects of expression levels of ucp4 c (the homologous gene of ucp1), serca (the homologous gene of serca2b), octβ3r (the homologous gene of β3-adrenergic receptor), hamlet (the homologous gene of prdm16), ampkα (the homologous gene of ampk), camk II (the homologous gene of camk), and sirt1 (the homologous gene of sirt1) genes in Drosophila induced by exercise and/or cold exposure on exercise capacity and cardiac function. This evidence concerns the gene CAMK2G and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
