OCA2 and Ageusia: After taking into account the confounding effects such as sex, age groups, and ethnicity, four signs and symptoms were found independently associated with the dominance of P.1, including coryza (MOR 4.378 [95% CI 3.08–6.22]; p < 0.001) and two neurological symptoms, ageusia (MOR 2.37 [95% CI 1.61–3.49]; p = 0.001) and headache (MOR 9.56 [95% CI 7.30–12.52]; p < 0.001).
