Considering the ADAM12 groups within the molecular subtypes, patients with mesenchymal tumors and high ADAM12 have a significant worse PFS and OS as compared to ADAM12 low patients (median PFS 7.15 vs. 12.70 months, HR 1.72 [95% CI 1.027–2.87], P = 0.03; mOS 13.8 vs. 28.3 months, HR 2.12 [95% CI 1.25–3.60], P = 0.004), OS remained significant when adjusted for the other prognostic variables (HR 2.24 [95% CI 1.07–4.66], P = 0.032) (Fig. 4C and Additional file 1: Fig. S5A). This evidence concerns the gene ADAM12 and mesenchymal cell neoplasm.
