The latter agrees with another in vitro study from our laboratory [10], which shows that TNFα alone or TNFα plus insulin and testosterone (to mimic a PCOS environment) can increase protein levels of molecules involved in the TNFα signaling pathway and can decrease levels of molecules associated with adiponectin signaling, besides levels of GLUT4 in the endometrial cells.
