The variables that were significantly associated with a CD4+/CD8+ cell ratio >0.8 were: (i) the lack of AIDS at care entry (HR: 5.97 (IQR: 1.42–25.14), p = 0.01), (ii) CCR5 Δ32/wt heterozygosity (HR: 2.32 (IQR: 1.18–4.53), p = 0.010), (iii) the presence of the HLA-B*5701 allele (HR: 6.63 (IQR: 2.86–15.34), p < 0.001), and (iv) the CCR2 GG genotype (HR: 2.81 (IQR: 1.07–7.35), p = 0.04); (Figure 5). This evidence concerns the gene CD8A and AIDS.
