Predictors of patients’ death in patients with dyspnea without AP (Group B) during hospitalization were HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, cardiac and septic shock, the need for intubation, transfer to the intensive care unit, ASPAT above 40 U/L (normal range: 0–40 U/L), total bilirubin above 1.1 mg/dL (normal range: 0.3–1.1 mg/dL), CRP above 5 mg/L (normal range: 3.0–5.0 mg/L), and elevated procalcitonin above 0.1 ng/mL (p < 0.05 for all) (Table 4).
