VWF and Venous thrombosis: Levels of prothrombotic acute phase reactants, such as fibrinogen, von Willebrand factor, and factor VIII, that are commonly elevated during inflammatory conditions, have been reported to be increased in patients with COVID-19 compared to healthy individuals, implicating the endothelium, platelets, and the coagulation system as potential mediators of coagulopathy and thrombosis in COVID-19.
