CASK and cancer: The role of CASK throughout the body has been postulated to be impressively broad, including possible contributions to insulin secretion and signaling, cell proliferation, kidney development, heart conductivity, epithelial cell polarization, cancer biology, and sperm development, just to name a few [59,61,75,107,108,109,110], suggesting that CASK dysfunction leads to systemic effects that are hard to disentangle from each other.
