To this end, we analysed gene expression in skin tumours of K14-HPV8-CER mice, and compared the expression profile with that of published signature genes for Lrig1-EGFP+ cells in Lrig1-EGFP-ires-CreERT2 mice [21] to arrive at a deeper understanding regarding the effect of HPV8 early gene expression in the Lrig1+ compartment. This evidence concerns the gene LRIG1 and skin neoplasm.
