The analysis confirmed that co-cultured CLL cells had increased expression of genes associated with cytokine stimulation and, importantly, pro-survival and anti-apoptotic signatures, including BCL-2 members, (0.59 log2FC), BCL2L1 (3.5 log2FC), and BCL2A1 (3.5 log2FC) (Figure 1A). This evidence concerns the gene BCL2L1 and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
