In GBM, molecular analysis of brain tumor biopsies has identified elevated expression of NF-κB and its target genes compared to normal brain tissue.31 Constitutive activation of NF-κB has been reported in human GBM tumors and found to be important in promoting tumor invasion and resistance to alkylating agents.32 GSK3 inhibition induces glioma cell death through c-MYC, NF-κB, and glucose regulation. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and brain neoplasm.
