DDIT4 promotes the progression of ovarian cancer, gastric cancer, and pancreatic cancer, and so on.30–32 However, DDIT4 inhibits cell proliferation through the inactivation of mTOR signaling and reduction of HIF-1α instability in triple-negative breast cancer and HER2 phenotypes.20 In leukemia, although the expression of DDIT4 is lower in AML than normal donors, DDIT4high patients have a worse prognosis than DDIT4low cases.33 Here, we explored whether DDIT4 mediated the effect of IL-34 by knocking down DDIT4 in AMoL cells overexpressing IL-34. The gene discussed is MTOR; the disease is leukemia.
