ALT, AST, γ-GT, ALP in the HBV inflammation group were significantly higher than those in the non-HBV-I group (P < 0.05), while ALB was significantly lower than in the non-HBV-I group (P < 0.05), indicating that HBV has a greater impact on liver damage in patients with CBI with concurrent NAFLD than NASH. This evidence concerns the gene GPT and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
