Hu et al. (2013) found that not only a large number of neuronal degenerations can be detected in samples of patients with Alzheimer’s disease, but the expression level of DR6 in the cerebral cortexes from the patients is significantly higher than that in the normal population (Hu et al., 2013). The gene discussed is TNFRSF21; the disease is early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
