In this study, TanIIA activates both human and mouse PXR and induces the transcription of their target genes, CYP3A4 and Cyp3a11. The mouse model of AKI and NF-κB luciferase reporter assay in human HK-2 cells has indicated that TanIIA inhibits the activation of NF-κB signaling and its target genes. This evidence concerns the gene CYP3A4 and acute kidney injury.
