Cyclin D1 expression is regulated by (Figures 1–4) MYC (Tables 1, 2) and NF-κB, and it promotes the synthesis of TNF alpha, CXCL1, CXCL5, CXCL9, CCL2, CXCL12, CCL7, CCL11, and TNF beta-like proinflammatory chemokines and cytokines, which give aggressive behavior to cancer (especially breast cancer). The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is cancer.
