CD36 and atherosclerosis: The results showed that quercetin regulated lipid metabolism by up-regulating the expressions of PPARγ, LXR-α, ABCA1, and down-regulating the expressions of PCSK9 and CD36, reducing the content of TC, LDL-C, oxLDL, and lipid droplets in the cytoplasm, and alleviated the symptoms of atherosclerosis (133).
