IL17A and colorectal carcinoma: Ning et al. (2015) found that excessive neutrophils can increase the expression of interleukin (IL)-1β and then induce the IL-17 response of CRC cells and support the occurrence of CRC. Wang et al. (2014) suggested that depletion of neutrophils or blocking of IL-1β activity significantly reduced mucosal damage and the formation of CRC tumors.
