Consequently, we comprehensively assessed the levels of ACAT1 and CE in tumor tissue, peritoneal fluid and plasma from EOC patients (compared with normal ovary or benign pelvic mass samples) in order to determine the relationship between ACAT1/CE levels and various factors including malignancy, tumor aggressiveness (ki67 expression), body mass index (BMI) and various comorbidities.
