GPT and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease: In patients with NAFLD, compared with no or minimal or lower-intensity interventions, more-intensive weight loss interventions (−3.61 kg; −5.11, −2.12) improved blood biomarkers (ALT (MD, −9.81; −13.12, −6.50), AST (MD, −4.84; −7.31, −2.38), and GGT (MD, −4.35; −7.67, −1.04)) as well as radiologic and histologic markers of liver stiffness (SMD, −1.11; −1.91, −0.32), liver steatosis (SMD, −1.48; −2.27, −0.70), and NAS (MD, −0.92; −1.75, −0.09) [29] (Table 1).
