MAPK3 and melanoma: Melanoma samples collected from the early-responding stage of vemurafenib pellet treatment (weeks 2 and 3) had significantly reduced levels of phospho-Erk1/2 compared to those of DMSO-treated control samples (Fig. 4A,B), indicating that vemurafenib pellets have sufficient bio-availability to target BRAFV600E in melanoma and to lead to melanoma regression.
