It has been shown that the TLR4/myeloid differentiation primary response 88 (MyD88)/nuclear factor (NF‐kB) signalling pathway mediates neuroinflammation in CNS diseases such as Alzheimer's disease (AD), Parkinson's disease (PD), subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAM) and vascular dementia.10, 11, 12.
